The Illinois Community College Faculty Association is pleased to announce the availability of up to seven (7) $1000 scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The scholarship will be presented at the Annual ICCFA Teaching and Learning Excellence Conference this fall at the I-Hotel and Illinois Conference Center, in Champaign, IL, on Friday November 8th. Scholarship recipients are invited and welcome to the Award Ceremony and Luncheon, but attendance is not required. Mileage is paid to those recipients who do attend the Award Ceremony. Scholarships may be used as needed to support the pursuit of further educational goals.

ICCFA will be providing an additional scholarship in the amount of $1000 to the community college with the most faculty attendees at this year’s conference. This scholarship may be awarded to a student selected by the college as long as the student meets the same criteria required for all applicants as listed below.
Scholarship Criteria
1. Applicants must demonstrate proof of full-time status for both the Spring 2024 and Fall 2024 semesters at an Illinois community college. Proof of full-time enrollment will be verified by official transcripts through the end of the Spring 2024 semester and a copy of Fall 2024 registration. Full-time status is defined as enrollment in a minimum of 12 semester hours.
2. Applicants must have completed 30 semester hours by the end of the Spring 2024 semester with a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Cumulative GPA must be verified by an official transcript received in a sealed envelope with the registrar’s signature or seal to guarantee authenticity. Only college level work and grades will be considered.
3. Applicant must provide proof of Illinois residency (Copy of Illinois Driver’s License or other such document).
4. Applicant must provide a brief statement of his/her academic and personal goals, along with a description of unpaid, voluntary community service and campus activities.
5. Applicant must provide a letter of recommendation, on official college letterhead, from a community college faculty member. The letter should address the candidate’s academic achievement, character, and ability to meet his/her goals.
6. Each application must include the candidate's complete mailing address, e-mail address, telephone number, and signature. All sensitive information (address, etc.) will remain confidential and be viewed only by the members of the ICCFA Scholarship Committee.
APPLICATION DEADLINE:
All materials must be received or postmarked no later than October 1st, 2024.
Materials received or postmarked after the deadline will not be considered.
